ADDENDUM – NOTICE TO CANDIDATES
Reference: Union Public Service Commission’s Special Advertisement No. 52/2015 published on 20.06.2015, Vacancy No. 15065201720, with closing date of submission of Online Application being 23:59 Hrs. on 09.07.2015 for recruitment to 170 posts of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner in Employees Provident Fund Organization, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
In terms of provisions contained in the above advertisement, the Commission have decided to conduct a RECRUITMENT TEST for shortlisting the candidates for these posts on 10th January, 2016 (SUNDAY) (FORENOON SESSION) FROM 10.00 A.M. TO 12.00 NOON (CANDIDATES’ REPORTING TIME AT TEST CENTER IS 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE SCHEDULED COMMENCEMENT OF THE TEST) at the following Centers. Only such shortlisted candidates would be asked to submit the documents in support of their claim for the posts. Their documents will be scrutinized and those candidates who fulfil all the eligibility conditions of the posts shall be called for interview:-

I. Scheme:
(a) The test will beof two hours durationand the medium of thetest will be both Hindi and English. (b) The test will be an objective type with multiple choices of answers and will carry a maximum of 100 marks. (c) There will be penalty for wrong answer. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question,there will be no penalty for that question.
II. Syllabus:
(a) General English – To evaluate candidate’sunderstanding of Englishlanguage and workman – like use of words
(b) Indian Culture, Heritage and Freedom Movements and Current Events.
(c) Population, Development and Globalization
(d) Governance and Constitution of India
(e) Present trends in Indian Economy (f) Accounting andAuditing, Industrial Relations, Labour Laws, Insurance
(g) Basic knowledge of Computer applications, General Science
(h) Elementary Mathematics, Statistics and General Mental Ability (i) Social Security in India |

NOTE-I: INTIMATION ABOUT VENUE OF THE RECRUITMENT TEST WILL BE COMMUNICATED TO THE CANDIDATES IN DUE COURSE.
NOTE-II: RECRUITMENT TEST AND THE INTERVIEW MAY CARRY A 75:25 WEIGHTAGE FOR THOSE CANDIDATES SHORTLISTED OUT OF THE RECRUITMENT TEST AND THOSE WHO QUALIFY IN THE INTERVIEW. NOTE-III: NO REQUEST FOR CHANGE OF TEST CENTRE WILL BE ENTERTAINED. |
