INDICATIVE ADVERTISEMENT INVITING APPLICATIONS ONLINE FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTOR UNDER COMMERCE & TRANSPORT (TRANSPORT) DEPARTMENTS OF GOVT. OF ODISHA.

IMPORTANT :

i) On line application will be available from 06.01.2016 till 05.02.2016 (up to 11.59 P.M.)

ii) Candidates must go through the detail advertisement & ensure their eligibility before applying.

iii) Candidates on the basis of the information filled in the online application form will be allowed for the written examination and if at any stage it is found that he has furnished false or incorrect information his/her candidature will be rejected forthwith.

iv) The candidates applying for the post must submit the DAF as per clause-6 of the advertisement.

Name of the Post : Junior Motor Vehicle Inspector

ELIGIBILITY

Age Limit : 18 to 32 years as on 01.01.2015

Upper age relaxation limits 5 years in case of ST, SC, SEBC and Women candidates, 10 years relaxation in case of PWD category candidates, the qualifying years of service in Defence Forces in case of Ex-SM. and below 45 years as on 01.01.2015 in case of ln-Service Contractual Employees.

Educational Qualification : (a) (i)the High school certificate Examination or equivalent examination from a recognised institution/ Board.

(ii)The Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 years course) awarded by the State Council of Technical Education & Training or equivalent course either of the above disciplines recognised by the Central/State Government.

(iii) The candidates having higher qualification i.e. Graduate Engineers in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from University/ Institutes recognised by the Central/State Government are also eligible to apply.

Pay Scale : Rs.9300/- to 34800/- + Grade pay Rs.4200/-.

Conditions of Service : Appointment is guided by the respective recruitment Rules & the Odisha Group-B (Contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013. Appointment will be initially on contractual basis.

Examination Fees : Rs. 100/- SC/ST/PwD category are exempted.

1. Plan of Examination : Written Examination-

The written Examination would comprise of three papers having all objective type questions with multiple choice of answers. ( OMR Sheet)

Paper-I - Language proficiency (both Odia & English)

and General Knowledge - 50 marks - 1 hour

Paper-II - Vehicle maintenance, pollution Standards,

Motor vehicle laws and road safety rules - 50 marks - 1 hour

Paper-Ill - Automobile Engineering 100 marks - 2 hour.

Total Written Marks- 200 Marks

II. Viva voce Test 25 Marks

Total - 225 Marks
