Applications are invited from the permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir State possessing the prescribed academic qualification and age for the posts of Consultant in Health & Family Welfare Department as per the category-wise break-up tabulated below.

Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- 

Age Limit :

1	Minimum -	18 Years
2	Maximum -	40 Years
3	Physically handicapped candidates -	42 Years
4	Candidates belonging to RBA/SC/ST/ALC/SLC categories -	43 Years
5	Candidates in Govt. Service (in respect of candidates already working in H&ME Department) -	45 Years
6	Ex-serviceman -	48 Years

Educational Qualification :

i) MBBS or possession of recognized Graduate qualifications in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the 3rd Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Education qualifications included in the part II of the 3rd Schedule should fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956.

ii) Possession of Post Graduate Degree in the respective specialty mentioned in part “A” of Annexure to the Schedule with two years experience in the profession in a responsible position connected with specialty OR

Possession of Postgraduate Diploma mentioned for the concerned subject in part “B” of Annexure to the Schedule with three years experience in the profession in the responsible position connected with specialty. 

Scheme of selection : The scheme of selection shall be notified separately.

Examination Fee : After successful submission of the form online, a challan will be generated indicating the basic details of the candidate which inter-alia shall indicate the amount of fee to be deposited in the J&K Bank branch as given below:-

• General Category - Rs.510.00
• Reserved Categories - Rs.260.00

The total amount of fee payable shall include Rs.05/- as service charges of the J&K Bank.

Centre of Examination :

i. The Examination will be held at different centres located in Srinagar and Jammu cities.

ii. The allotment of centres shall be at the sole discretion of the Commission and once a centre is allotted to a candidate, request for change of centre will neither be entertained nor will the Commission respond to request for change of centre.
