RECRUITMENT FOR PROJECT

Applications are invited from the citizens of India for filling up the following temporary position for the sponsored project undertaken in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering & Materials Science of this Institute. The position is temporary initially for a period of 1 Year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below:

About the project: Development of skilled domestic manpower to handle cutting edge research relevant to the Indian iron and steel industry

Position & Salary	Project Technical Assistant (1 Post ) Consolidated salary Rs.18000 - 26000/- p.m.
Qualification	BA/BSc or equivalent degree Diploma (3 years) in relevant field Essential: Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering. Minimum 3 years
Job Profile	Handling operation and maintenance of high temperature physico-chemical characterisation systems, spectroscopy-based analysers.  Designing safe operating practices for the high temperature devices, including handling of liquid metal and slag. Safety audits as and when necessary.

The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project . The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
