RECRUITMENT NOTICE NO 463/2016-17/CIV EST

1. Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for the following posts in Pay Band of Rs. (Pay Band + Grade Pay) plus other allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees.

2. The above posts are subject to all India Service liability including field service.

3. Age Limit and Its Relaxation :

4. Candidates will forward application properly sealed, in an envelope to “COMMANDING OFFICER

5 MTN DIV ORDNANCE UNIT C/O 99 APO”, through ordinary post/ Registered post/ Speed post. Application in person will not be accepted. Candidates are requested to superscribe the words “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _____________” on the top of envelope while sending the application form.

5. Last date for receipt of application is 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.

6. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of application.

7. Qualification and Tests:-

(a) Physical (Common for Mazdoor and Firemen category except serial (d) (i) & (ii) below)

• (i) Physical fitness - Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.
• (ii) Knowledge in Hindi
• (iii) Only those candidates which pass physical tests will be allowed to appear in written tests. (Physical test to be decided by conducting Board of Officers)

(b) Must have the following physical standard:-

• (i) Height without shoes - 165 Cms (Concession of 2.5 Cms for ST Candidate)
• (ii) Chest (Un-expanded) - 81.5 Cms
• (iii) Chest (On expansion) - 85 Cms
• (iv) Weight – 50 Kgs (Minimum)

(c) Endurance Test.

• (i) Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (Long jump)
• (ii) Running 1.6 Km Run in Seven (07) minutes.

(d) Additional Tests for Firemen Category Only

• (i) Carrying a man (Fireman lift) of 63.5 Kg to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
• (ii) Climbing three meters vertical rope using hands and feet.

8. The photocopy of the following Documents/ Certificates to be attached alongwith application duly self attested:-

(a) Two passport size photographs duly self attested, one on right corner of application and one on Acknowledgement Card.

(b) Attested copies of following certificates will also be submitted with application:-

• (i) Education qualification certificate
• (ii) Date of Birth certificate.
• (iii) Caste wherever applicable.
• (iv) Discharge certificate for Ex-servicemen or NOC from the competent auth for service defence personnel who are completing the prescribed period of Army service within a year from the last date for receiving application.

(c) Self addressed envelope affixing postal stamp of Rs. 25/-.

Note: - Central Government civilian employees must furnish “No Objection Certificate” from their employer/ office at the time of the interview else their candidature will be cancelled.

9. Incomplete/ illegible application will be deemed invalid and rejected without intimation to the candidate. Only the eligible candidates will called for the written examination.

10. It is made clear that merely fulfilling the basic essential qualification requirements does not atomically entitled a person to be called for test. The selection will be made strictly on the merit basis. The decision of appointing authority regarding selection/ rejection will be final. It is also made clear that the number of post/ vacancies are tentative and recruitment process can be cancelled/ suspended/ terminated by the Appointing Authority at any stage, due to administrative reasons.

11. The question papers of written test (objective type) will be bilingual i.e. English & Hindi as under:-

12. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidates. No enquiry or correspondence will be entertained.

13. No TA/DA is admissible. Duration of each test can be 02 to 05 days or more. Candidates will make their own arrangement for lodging/ boarding during the test/ interview.

14. 5 Mtn Div Ord Unit will not be responsible for any postal delay.

15. 5 Mtn Div Ord Unit will not be responsible/ liable for any damage or claims in case of injury/ death of candidates during test.

16. Registration of application does not guarantee employment.

17. Candidates will produce their original documents and Admit Card at the time of recruitment otherwise they will not be allowed to appear in recruitment tests.

18. Date and Time for Tests. Date and time for test will be intimated later to candidates through call letter, whose application and particulars are found to be correct and in order.

19. Candidate not in receipt of call letter should presume that their application were incomplete/ not meeting or found eligible. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Further, unit is not to be held responsible for any postal delays.

20. WARNING: All candidates are warned to be careful from the self-styled agents/touts and also requested to report to Commanding Officer, 5 Mtn Div Ord Unit against any malpractice seen/ observed by them.
