QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL:
MBBS & MD Degree recognized by MCI with four-year experience in the relevant subject.
OR
1st class Master’s Degree & Ph.D.in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry/ Applied Biology / Genetics with four years experience.
OR
2nd class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology / Microbiology, Biochemistry / Genetics / Applied Biology with Ph.D. in relevant subject With 4 years Research, experience
DESIRABLE:
- M.D.Pathologyfrom Recognised University with experience In Immunohaematology / Transfusion Medicine from Recognised University.
- Additional post doctoral Research / Teaching experience in Haematology / Immunohaematology/ Molecular Biology / HLA Immunogenetics / Cell culture / Immunology.
- Knowledge of Computer Applications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To carry out research in the area of Haematology / Transfusion Transmitted Diseases/ Hemoglobinopathies/ Immunology.
AGE LIMIT : Not exceeding 40 years.
2. Scientist ‘B’ ONE (Reserved for S.T.)
Scale of Pay: PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 plus Grade pay Rs.5400/-
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL:
MBBS Degree recognized by MCI with Two years experience.
OR
1st class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry/ Applied Biology / Genetics.
OR
2nd class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology / Microbiology, Biochemistry / Genetics / Applied Biology with Ph.D. in relevant subject with two year experience
DESIRABLE:
- M.D.Pathology with experience in Immunohaematology / Transfusion Mesicine.
- Additional postdoctoral Research / Teaching experience in Haematology / Immunohaematology / Molecular Biology / HLA Immunogenetics / cell culture. / Immunology.
- Knowledge of Computer Applications
- At least two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential Qualification
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To carry out research in the area of Haematology / Transfusion Transmitted Diseases/ Hemogloinopatuies/ Immunology.
AGE LIMIT : Not exceeding 35 years Relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard. However, the prescribed age may be further relaxed in exceptional cases for experienced & qualified candidates.
One time age relaxation is allowed to Scientific and Technical staff working in long term projects in ICMR Institute/Centres for posts advertised under HRSC,2007 provided they meet the essential qualifications and experience for the post with a view to provide them an opportunity to compete with other candidates as per Council’s letter No.6/1/2007-AdmnII dated 28.3.2011.
Genral Relaxation Clause:
Age, qualification and experience will be relaxable in deserving cases as mentioned in the Recruitment Rules of Health Research Scientists Cadre of ICMR, 2007 under Rule 14 and Note 1 & 2 of Schedule-III.
Other Service Conditions:
1) Allowances as per Central Government Rules are admissible on the above pay scale.
2) Benefits of new restructured defined contributory pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry pf Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECD & PR Division) Notification No. 05/07/2003-ECD & PR dated 22.12.2003 effect from 1.1.2004.
3) Private practice is not allowed, however, non-practicing allowance is admissible to medical graduates only as per rules.
1) Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments/Public Sector Undertakings and Govt. funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel. Advance copies of applications will be considered subject to the condition that a ‘‘No Objection Certificate’’ from the employer is produced at the time personal discussion. Application received after the closing date will not be considered.

2) Application forms duly completed in all respects and signed by the applicant along with copies of relevant enclosures should be sent to the Director, National Institute of Immunohaematology,13th Floor. New Multistored Building K.E.M. Hospital Campus Parel, Mumbai 400 012, on or before the closing date (20.05.2016 up to 5.00 p.m.)
3) Candidates (other than exempted) may pay the application fee of Rs.100/- in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director National Institute of Immunohaematology, Mumbai payable at Mumbai Physically Handicapped candidates and woman candidates are exempted from the payment. Fees is payable by all other candidates including ICMR employees. Indian Scientists working abroad are exempted from application fee.

Note: - 1. Ph.D OR M.D. Degree in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three-year experience
2. Candidate with M.D. OR Ph.D. degree will be preffered for direct Recruitment.
3. Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the interview/personal discussion, the applicants will be short-listed for this purpose. The decision of the Director ,NIIH will be final in this regard.
4. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for appearing in the written test.
5. Candidates called for interview will be paid 2nd class rail fare by the shortest route on production of documents.
6. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall be disqualification.
7. The post is with all India transfer liability under the council.
