Recruitment of a Chief Executive Officers for the District Central Cooperative Banks in Odisha.

The candidate should preferably be below 50 years of age as on 01.04.2016. In deserving cases, upper age limit may be relaxed.
The candidate should at least be a
- Graduate with CAIIB (both parts) / DBF / Diploma in Cooperative Business Management or equivalent qualification ; or
- Chartered / Cost Accountant ; or
- Post Graduate in any discipline
The candidate should have at least eight years’ work experience at the middle / senior level in the Banking sector.

The candidate should have at least eight years’ work experience at the middle / senior level in the Banking sector. Senior / middle level for the purpose shall be taken as the v third level (scale / cadre) onwards (i.e. excluding the first two levels (scales / cadres) in the officer cadre) or as the highest two levels (scales / cadres) below the level of CEO.
Job responsibilities:
The Central Cooperative Banks are in the middle rung of the Short Term Cooperative Credit Structure (STCCS) of the State comprising the State Cooperative Bank at the State Level, 17 Central Cooperative Banks (CCBs) in the middle rung and 2709 Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) at the grassroots level. The STCCS primarily caters to the agricultural credit requirement of the State by enrolling the agricultural families (55 Iakh) as members of the PACS and providing them Kisan Credit Cards. As on 31.03.2016, the STCCS provides around 70% of the crop loans dispensed in the State and around 50% of the agricultural credit provided. All the COBs are licensed under Section 22 read with Section 56 (o) of the Banking Regulation Act, l949 (As Applicable to Cooperative Societies). They mobilize deposits from the public and carry on banking business at par with Commercial Banks. The Chief Executive occupies the key position in the CCBs, which is having a cooperative character wherein, the Board of Directors are elected as per the provisions of the Orissa Cooperative Societies Act. The Chief Executive will be responsible for managing the banking business and prepare plans and policies and implement the same for strengthening the Bank and the affiliated PACS. Besides, as other Corporate Managers, he/ she will be responsible for Corporate Governance in the organization and he/ she would directly report to the Management of the Bank. He/ she have to liaise with the Government/ State Cooperative Bank/ NABARD/ Reserve Bank of India and is expected to lead from the front.
4) Scale of Pay & other Allowances
The post shall carry the scale of pay of Rs.28350-1000(5)-33350-1150(7)-41400 and Dearness Allowance as applicable to the State Government employees and other allowances like House Rent Allowance, Medical Allowance, Conveyance Allowance and Travel Expenses etc. as per the rules of the Bank concerned. In deserving cases, pay protection may be allowed and higher salary may be negotiable.
Process of Selection:
The selection may be through the Institute of Banking Personnel and Selection (IBPS), Mumbai preferably through a Viva Voce Test and Group Discussions. The test and GD. will‘ centre round the banking business, leadership qualities, H. R. issues etc. that are meant for the Chief Executives. The details will be made known in due course.
Verification of certificates at the time of Viva Voce Test 1 Group Discussion
- a. Matriculation/ High School Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate to establish the date of birth.
- b. All certificates pertaining to the career of the candidates as mentioned in the Application Format.
- c. Experience Certificate as mentioned in the Application Format.
- d. 3 copies of Colour Pass Port Size photographs.

Last date of submission of application
The application should reach the Managing Director on or before 30.04.2016. Any application received after the stipulated date will not be considered. Applications of ineligible candidates shall be summarily rejected and no correspondences in the matter of rejection; shall be entertained on any circumstances. Intending candidates are, therefore, advised to make a self assessment of their eligibility for the post before submitting the application.
