Recruitment Notice for Persons with Disabilities to the post of Junior Telecom Officer in MTNL 1A Govt. of India Enterprise) through GATE-2015 

MTNL is a blue chip Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise having major operations in the markets of Delhi and Mumbai. We are providing our services in Nepal through our joint venture UnitedTelecom Limited and in Mauritius through our wholly owned subsidiary MTML.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up following posts on direct recruitment for Persons with Disability (PwD) only through GATE 2015 Score:

Discipline	Vacancies	Full Time Degree in Engineering (BE / B.Tech / Equivalent Engineering Degree) in the following streams:
Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom)	02	Electronics/ and Telecommunications/ Computer Science
Junior Telecom  Officer(Electrical)	01	Electrical Engineering

Age Limit:-  Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years as on 17.11.2015.

Reservation and Relaxations:

1. Reservation of posts will be as per Govt. rules in force.

2. Physically Handicapped Candidates only with following minimum 40% disability will be considered for appointment

(i) One leg affected (ii) One Arm affected (iii) Partially Deaf (iv) Low Vision

3. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: 

a. For OBC (NCL) candidates: 3 Years

b. For SC/ST candidates: 5 years

c. For PwD candidates: 10 years over and above category relaxation (i.e. 10years for a PwD candidate belonging to General Category, 13 years for a PwD candidate belonging to OBC (NCL) Category and 15 years for a PwD candidate belonging to SC/ST Category).

d. Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. of India directives

4. Reservation/Relaxation/Concession for SC/ST candidates will be subject to submission of Caste Certificate in the GOI prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority at the time of interview, if called for.

5. Reservation/Relaxation for OBC (NCL) candidates will be subject to submission of OBC (NCL) Certificate along with NCL, declaration in the format prescribed by the Go1 for “Appointment to Posts under Govt. of India” from the Competent Authority at the time of interview, if called for.

6. Reservation/Concession for Ex-Servicemen will be subject to submission of Age Relaxation cum Domicile Certificate/ Discharge Certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority at the time of interview, if called for.

7. Reservation/Relaxation/Concession for Persons with Disability will be subject to submission of Disability Certificate issued by a Government Medical Board at the time of interview, in the format prescribed by the Go1, if called for.

Selection Process:- Only those candidates who have qualified for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - 2015 are eligible to apply. Based on the GATE-2015 marks, candidates will be shortlisted and called for Personal Interview at the venue(s) decided by MTNL. It may be noted that for this recruitment process, GATE scores of 2015 only will be valid.

The selection process will include the Normalized Marks (Out of 100) obtained by the eligible candidates in the EC/CS/EE paper of GATE 2015, followed by Personal Interview of the candidates who qualify in the GATE paper and are shortlisted category wise for interview.

Candidates obtaining a valid score (Marks out of 100) shall only be eligible for the next stage of selection. The score is valid only if the candidate obtains more than or equal to the qualifying marks as fixed for the corresponding EC/CS/EE paper of GATE 2015.

How to Apply: Application fee can be paid through online / offline mode. For online mode payment can be made through MTNL website www.mtnl.net.in through the payment gateway, using a Master

Visa Debit or Credit card. On successful completion of the transaction through the payment gateway, an e-payment receipt will be generated. Candidates are required to take print out of the e-payment receipt as proof of the fee paid online. For offline mode please refer to Instructions given on the homepage of the website. The payment towards recruitment application fee can be made 20.10.2015 onwards, but before the close of business hours on 17.11.2015 i.e. the date of closure of online application.
