Educational Qualification:
Essential: (i) First Class Master’s Degree in Physical
Education or in Sports Science with at least 60% marks
(or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading
system is followed) with a consistently good academic
record;
Desirable: Experience in guiding groups of students in
creative activities.
Experience: Relevant experience of 10 years in post as
SAS Officer or instructor or equivalent post in University
/ Institute of National importance/ Central/State Govt. or
similar organization having strong involvement and
proven track record in organizing teaching sports,
drama, music, films, painting, photography, Journalism,
event management or other student activities.
Grade Pay : Rs. 8,000
Principal Technical Officer - (UR)Total No. of Posts: 01
Age Limit: Preferably below 45 years
Educational Qualification:
Essential: B.E. / B. Tech. Degree in Mechanical
Engineering with first class or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10
point scale or 60% marks) and consistently excellent
academic record.
Experience: 20 years industrial, research, ICT or other
relevant experience of which at least 5 years should be
at the level of Senior Scientific / Technical Officer or
equivalent with GP of Rs. 6600/-
Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100
Grade Pay : Rs. 7,600
Sr. Technical Officer - (SC)Total No. of Posts: 01
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years
Educational Qualification:
Essential: B.E. /B.Tech. Degree in Mechanical
Engineering with first class or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10
point scale) and consistently excellent academic record.
Experience: Ten years industrial research, ICT or other
relevant experience with application so as to meet the
needs of an NIT, at least five years of which should be in
the post carrying GP of Rs. 5400/- or equivalent post.
Grade Pay : Rs. 6,600
Assistant Librarian - (UR)Total No. of Posts: 01
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years; age bar not applicable to employees of NIT serving as Library and Information Assistant (Selection Gr.II) for at least 6 years with GP of Rs. 4800/-.
Educational Qualification:
Essential: i) Master’s Degree in Library Science/
Information Science/ Documentation Science or an
equivalent professional degree with CGPA of 6.5 in 10
point scale or at least 60% marks (or an equivalent
grade in a point scale wherever grading system is
followed) and a consistently good academic record with
superior knowledge of computerized library service.
ii) Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the
purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by
the UGC.
iii) However, candidates, who are or have been awarded
Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants
Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for
Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009, shall be
exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility
condition of NET/ SLET/SET for recruitment and
appointment Assistant Librarian.
Desirable: PG Diploma in Library Automation and
Networking or PGDCA or equivalent.

Assistant Registrar - (01 UR, 01 OBC)Total No. of Posts: 02
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years
Educational Qualification:
Essential: i) Masters’ degree in any discipline with at least
55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point
scale from a recognized University/Institute with
excellent academic record.
Desirable: i) Qualification in area of management/
Engineering /Law.
ii) Experience in handling computerized administration
/legal/ financial/ establishment matters.
iii) A Chartered or Cost Accountant degree or diploma
for the post of Assistant Registrar (Finance and
Accounts).

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years
Educational Qualification:
Essential: B. E. /B. Tech degree in Computer
Engineering/Information Technology or MCA Degree in

record.
Desirable:Work experience in relevant field, e.g. system administration, software development.

A bank draft of `200/- towards application fee be sent along-with the downloaded application form (duly filled). The Application form and instruction sheet can be had from the General Section of the Institute on payment of `200/- by cash or by sending a Crossed Bank Draft of `250/- drawn in favour of Director, NIT Kurukshetra payable at SBI, NIT Kurukshetra (Code No. 6260) along-with a Self Addressed envelope (23x10 cm). SC/ST and PwD applicants are exempted from application fees. The applications duly filled in all respects should reach the Registrar, NIT, Kurukshetra-136119 on or before 04.12.2015 (5:30 p.m.). Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
