Special Recruitment Drive for filling up vacancy for
Persons with Disabilities (VH)
Applications are invited for one post of Scientist 'B' (VH) in Central Pollution Control Board. The detail of the post is given as under:-
Scientist 'B': 01 Post Visually Handicapped (UR) in the Pay Band -3; Rs. 15,600-39,100/-; Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-. Persons With Disabilities i.e. PB, B. Educational Qualification: Essential :Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology from a recognized University or Institution. Preferential: Master's Degree in Engineering /Technology.
OR
Master's degree in Natural /Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University or Institution. Preferential : NET Qualified / Ph.D. Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 Years (Inclusive of the relaxation meant for PwDs candidates).

1. General Conditions Information:

a. The applicant must be a citizen of India.

b. The post is exclusively reserved for Persons with disabilities (PWD) Visually Handicapped (PB,B) fulfilling the eligibility conditions prescribed under G0I instructions.
DEGREE OF DISABILITY FOR RESERVATION: Only such persons would be eligible who suffer from not less than 40 percent of relevant disability. The candidates have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.

c. Applicants must fulfill the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down for the post. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for Written Test/interview.

d. The application should be accompanied by self attested copies of the relevant educational qualification, experience, caste and disability certificate. The prescribed qualifications should have been obtained through recognized Universities/ Institutions etc. Incomplete applications/ applications received not accompanied with the required certificates / documents are liable to be rejected.

e. If any document/ certificate furnished is in language other than Hindi or English a transcript of the same duly self attested is to be submitted.

f. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and /or experience shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of filled in applications.

g. Any discrepancy found between the information given in application and as evident in original documents will make the candidate ineligible for appearing in Written Test/interview.

h. The decision of the CPCB in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of examination/interview will be final and binding on the candidates.

i. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.

2. Mode of selection:


Mere fulfillment of educational qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for Written Test/interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates. The candidate should therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification, supported with documents.

3. How to apply:


a. Application form is available on CPCB website www.cpcb.nic.in which can be downloaded.

b. Application form duly signed and accompanied by attested copies of the certificates, mark sheets, testimonials in support of age, education qualifications, experience and disability certificate should be sent in an envelope super-scribed ”APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SCIENTIST ’B’ (VH).


c. Applications from employees of Government Departments will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel, certified by the employer that the applicant, if selected will be relieved within one month of the receipt of the appointment orders. Also, vigilance clearance should be recorded. However, advance copy of the application may be submitted before the closing date.

d. Candidates should specifically note that the applications received after the closing date for any reason whatsoever (such as envelopes wrongly address, delivered elsewhere, postal delay etc.) will not be entertained. Any enclosure received separately subsequent to the receipt of the application cannot be connected therewith. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

e. Incomplete applications (i.e. without photograph, unsigned/Thumb impression testimonials etc. will not be entertained and is liable to be summarily rejected.

4. Following documents must be attached along with application form sent by post:


a. Colored photograph pasted on the form and signed across in full
b. Self Attested photocopy of Date of Birth Certificate.
c. Self Attested photocopies of educational qualifications certificates.
d. Self Attested photocopy of Disability Certificate in prescribed format.
e. Self Attested photocopy of experience certificate if mentioned.

5. The recruitment process can be cancelled/postponed/suspended/terminated without any prior notice/assigning any reasons at any stage at the discretion of the competent authority.

6. Affix three passport size photographs (one on application and two on Admit card). Prescribed application form along with recent passport size photographs, should reach The Sr. Administrative Officer, Central Pollution Control Board, “Parivesh Bhawan”, East Arjun Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi-110032 within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
