WALK IN INTERVIEW ON 23.11.2015

ESIC Medical College & PGIMSR, K.K. Nagar, Chennai proposes to fill up the teaching faculty i .e. Associate Professor, Paediatrics on contractual basis through walk-in interview. The details of vacancy and reservation position is as under.

Qualification & Required : 

A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Act. A Post Graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS (Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery) or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/ allied discipline. 

Experience :

Four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned speciality in a recognised medical college with minimum of two research publications in indexed/national journals provided that these research publications are published/accepted for publications in the Journals by the National Associations/Societies of the respective specialities as the First Author. Further provided that the requirement of 2 research publications for promotion to the post of Associate Professor should be fulfilled with 2 research publications must be published during the tenure of the Assistant Professor. 

NOTE : (1) If a DNB qualified candidate is working as Assistant Professor in a MCI recognized Medical College/Central Institute, he/she would require one more year of teaching/research experience to be promoted as Associate Professor over & above the minimum time frame for MD/MS candidate.

The experience should be recognized by the MCI or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted.

NOTE : (2) Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts.

Age limit : Not exceeding 67 years as on 23.11.2015

PAY & ALLOWANCES :

1. ESIC has adopted Sixth Central Pay Commission. Pay (Pay in Pay Band plus grade pay) and other allowances shall be paid as admissible.

2. The retired Government Officers shall be paid emoluments in accordance with the rule in force as on date.

3. Other candidates appointed on contractual basis will be paid Pay at the initial stage: i.e. initial Pay of the relevant Pay Band plus Grade pay and other allowances as per rules of the Corporation.

4. Pay as on date (Pay in Pay Band + Grade Pay + NPA @ 25% {as admissible}) at initial stage is as under.

Salary :  PB-3+GP 7600/-+NPA

5. In addition to above other allowances like D.A., HRA etc would be payable as per admissibility.

6. No private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.

7. Retirees from Central / State Govt. / PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in recognized/approved Private Medical Institutions fulfilling eligibility criteria for the post may also apply.

8. The candidates have to attach the self attested copies of all the relevant certificates/ testimonials on support of date of birth, category, sub-category i.e educational qualification, teaching experience, Pension Payment Order (PPO), etc. with the application form and have to produce originals thereof at the time of interview.

Selection Procedure:

(i) The application will be made on the basis of performance of the candidates in interview before the selection board. 

(ii) Result will be communicated through e-mail/sms and will be displayed on web- site.

(iii) Selected candidates will have to join immediately after receipt offer of appointment.

General Conditions : 

(i) Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate to be interviewed.

(ii) Application should be submitted in the prescribed format only. The applications found to be incomplete will be summarily rejected.

(iii) Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.

(iv) Opportunity of interview given to candidates will be on provisional basis.

(v) The interviews shall be conducted at Dean Office, ESIC Medical College & PGIMSR, K.K. Nagar, Ashok Pillar Road, K.K. Nagar, Chennai (Tamilnadu) on 23.11.2015. However, ESIC reserve the right to change the centre, if needed.

The candidates may ascertain their eligibility and “walk-in” for interview on the appointed day One Hour before schedule time of interview at the venue.

The ESIC reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage at its discretion and such decision will be binding on all concerned.
