Centre for Dental Education & Research intends to recruit for the post of Research officer under National Centre of Excellence for implementation of National Oral Health Programme on purely contractual basis for the tenure of 1 year or till the term of project, whichever is earlier.

Educational Qualification :

Essential

• MDS - Public Health Dentistry
• Should be registered with Dental Council of India

Desirable

• Experience in Nationwide/large scale Dental Public health Programme
• Experience in IEC development

Knowledge and skills

• Knowledge about the common oral health conditions in the country and its public health impacts
• Knowledge in the areas of Oral health promotion, local participatory planning and capability to function collaboratively and productively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Knowledge about the Healthcare delivery system in India
• Knowledge about Research methodology and critically evaluating research proposals related to Oral Health
• Knowledge about biostatistics for data analysis, interpretation and presentation.
• Exposure to Health Communication
• Ability to travel extensively
• Command over MS-Office and net savvy
• Good Communication skills both in English and Hindi [written and Verbal]

Responsibilities and Duties

• To provide technical as well as programme management support for planning and implementation of the National Oral Health Programme
• To support the development of IEC for National Oral Health Programme
• To monitor the implementation of the National Oral Health Programme
• To facilitate capacity building of the Oral Health Workforce [development of training modules, training programme, evaluation etc.]
• To undertake any other tasks and responsrbihties ass1gned

Location : Delhi.

General Conditions:

1. The above assignment is purely on contract basis, for a period of one year.
2. Upper Age Limit: 35 (Thirty five) years. Upper age limit will be taken as on closing date of submission of applications.
3. Last date for submission of application: 28.12.2015 by 5.00 RM.
4. The candidates must submit self attested copies of their certificates, degrees and other relevant testimonials alongwith an application in prescribed format at the following address:

5. Applications lacking complete information as per the proforma and as well as failure in submission of copies of relevant documents, will liable to be rejected without any communication.
6. This appointment will not vest any right to claim by the candidate for regular appointment or permanent absorption in the Institute or for continued contractual appointment which may be renewed or terminated on the basis of satisfactory performance and conduct.
7. The contract will automatically expire on completion of one year until it is renewed with mutual consent for the decided period. The contractual appointment can be terminated at any time, by either side, by giving 30 days notice or salary in lieu thereof.
8. The competent Authority reserves the right to change the number of vacancies, withdraw the process in full or in part and also the right to reject any or all applications received without assigning any reasons or giving notices etc.
9. He/ She should also note that he/she will have to conform to the rules of discipline and conduct as applicable to the Institute employees. 
10. No travelling or other allowances will be paid to the candidate for interview or for joining the post.
11. The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
12. If any declaration given or information furnished by the candidate proves to be false or if the candidate is found to have willfully suppressed any material information, he/she will be liable to be removed from service and such action as the appointing authority may deem fit.
13. The decision of the Competent Authority regarding selection of the candidate will be final and no representations will be entertained in this regard. 
14. Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
