Indian Army Recruitment 2016 for the 7 post of Tradesman Mate 3 Inf DOU & 14 Corps OMC
Application is invited for Combined Recruitment for 3 Inf DOU & 14 Corps OMC from eligible MALE/FEMALE candidates for the post of Tradesman (Mate) to reach OC, 14 Corps OMC C/o 56 APO by normal/registered/speed post as per the format attached as Appendix 'A' within 21 days (28 days in respect of candidates belonging to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lashadeep) from the last date of publication of this advertisement. The last date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News will be taken into account for calculation of 21 days and 28 days (for Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lashadeep) respectively. The scale of pay, number of vacancies, educational qualification and other requirements are as under:-

Age Limit : 18 to 25 years as on closing date for receipt of applications.
Educational Qualification : The person those are interested for this recruitment should know that the educational qualification is mandatory for the post that is required as 10th Class passed from the recognized board/ Institution.
Physical Standards Required.
Endurance Test :- The following endurance tests will be conducted for candidates as per their categories :-
(a) Tradesman (Mate) : Physical / endurance test for the post of Tradesmen(Mate) is invariably included in rect process to evaluate the physical efficiency of the candidates keeping in view of the over all reqmts of physical fitness in the duty performed and should pass the following :-
(i) Running – 1.5 KM in 7.5 mins.
(ii) Carrying a weight 50 Kg to a distance of 200 Mtr in 100 Seconds.
(b) Must qualify the prescribed test / practicals on Matric basis as deemed fit by the Bd of Officers detailed for recruitment.
(c) Written test : Written test for both categories will be held on the basis of Matric as deemed fit by the Bd of Officers detailed for recruitment and the question papers of written test (objective type) will be bilingual i.e. English & Hindi as under:-

Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidates. No inquiry or correspondence will be entertained.
Dates for physical tests/written test/interview for all categories will be intimated in the CALL LETTERS.
Applications will be accepted only through normal/registered/speed post. The application should be addressed to OC, 14 Corps OMC, PIN : 909021, C/O 56 APO. No application will be accepted by hand. Board will not be responsible for loss of any application in transit and for postal delay. No TA/DA will be paid for the test/interview. The candidates themselves will make arrangement for boarding and lodging. No application will be entertained after the due date. Wihile forwarding the application, the envelope should be clearly marked, “ APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TRADESMAN MATE (EX-SERVICEMEN/ GEN /PH/SC/ST/OBC)” (Delete which ever is not applicable). (Quoting of Postal Index Number (PIN) is mandatory).
Candidates are advised to attach self attested copies of following documents as applicable along with (Size 12 x 18 cm) one x self addressed registered envelope with Rs 25/- postage stamps. Please do not forward ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES with the application.
- (a) Birth certificate.
- (b) Medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner for physical fitness
- (c) Caste certificate.
- (d) Education certificate
- (e) Photocopy of Discharge certificate for Ex-servicemen.
- (f) Disability certificate for physically Handicapped
- (g) Domicile Certificate (for residents of J&K state availing age relaxation)
- (h) Two x additional passport size photographs duly self attested on the reverse.
- (j) In case of OBC, please attach ‘Non Creamy Layer’ certificate as per Appendix-‘B'.
- (k) Certificate for employment in any unit.
- (l) Format of the willingness certificate is attached as per Appendix-‘C'.
- (m) Applicants applying for PH category should enclose the “Disability Certificate” as Appendix-‘D'.
- (n) A written certificate will be rendered by the individual to serve in 3 Inf DOU & 14 Corps OMC/ respective APs/ or any where in India will be at the discretion of the Board of offrs for rect.
Note: Central Government civilian employees must furnish “No Objection Certificate” from their employer/office at the time of the skill test else their candidature will be cancelled.
The candidate should be in possession of all original documents/certificates viz date of birth/educational qualification/SC/ST/OBC/Discharge certificate for Ex-servicemen, Domicile certificate and any other relevant certificate at the time of interview.
Date of interview of the candidates whose application are found correct in all respects will be communicated to them separately on calling letter to be attached with the application. No correspondence in this regard will be accepted.
Unit will not be responsible to pay any compensation in case of injury/death of a candidate during and after physical tests and also reserve the right to rescheduling the date of test/interview due to strike/branch/curfew/bad weather.
To reduce the number of candidates for written examination for one category of post, screening of applications will be carried out based on the percentage of marks obtained in the examination mandated as essential QR. Maximum ratio of 01:50 per post will be maintained for such cut offs. A bench mark percentage will be fixed depending on the number of applicants. No weight age will be given for additional/higher qualification (other than those prescribed in the recruitment rules). The candidates who fail to qualify in the Physical and Endurance Test will be eliminated and shall not be permitted to undergo any further tests.
It is made clear that merely fulfilling the basic essential qualification requirements does not automatically entitle a person to be called for test/interviews. The selection will be made strictly on the merit basis. The decision of appointing authority regarding selection/rejection will be final. It is also made clear that the numbers of posts/vacancies are tentative and recruitment process can be cancelled/ suspended/terminated by the Board of Officer at any stage due to administrative reasons.
Place of Work. Individual should be willing to serve in 3 Inf DOU &, 14 Corps OMC/Respective APs or anywhere of India, if he will be selected.
Rejection. The following act’s /omission would render a candidate/applications disqualified :-
(a) Furnishing of false, inaccurate or tempered information.
- (b) Obtaining support for his candidature through unfair means.
- (c) Impersonation by any person.
- (d) Submitting fabricated documents.
- (e) Making statements, which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information.
- (f) Reporting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his candidature for the selection.
- (g) Improper filling of applications.
- (h) More than one application submitted by the candidate.
- (j) Any other reason as observed by the Board of Officers.
- (k) If written certificate is not found att with the application showing willingness to serve in 3 Inf DOU & 14 Corps OMC/ respective APs/ or anywhere in India will be rejected. Format of the willingness certificate is attached as per Appendix-‘C'.
20. Selected candidates will be given an appointment letter by the Commanding Officer/Officer Commanding of their respective unit as mentioned in para 1 above. Appointing Authority subject to receipt of verification of character and antecedents from concerned District Magistrates, Supdt of Police and medical fitness certificate from medical authorities.
Post is permanent, subject to completion of two years probation period successfully by the individual.
Merit for the category will be drawn as 40:40:20 (Written Test, Physical Test & Interview).
Central employees appointed in Govt services on or after 01 Jan 2014 will be governed by new refined contribution pension scheme.
Any dispute with regard to rect will be subject to jurisdiction of Leh Court only.
Registration of application by no mean guarantee of employment.
