RECRUITMENT FOR PROJECT
Applications are invited from the citizens of India for filling up the following temporary positions for the sponsored project undertaken in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of this Institute. The positions are temporary initially for a period of 1 Year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below:

"Biomedical Engineering and Technology Centre (BETC) Incubation" (Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission)
About the project: BETiC - Biomedical Engineering & Technology (incubation) Centre is an inter-disciplinary translational research facility in IIT Bombay, with satellite centers in COE Pune and VNIT Nagpur. They are developing innovative medical devices for local needs in collaboration with expert clinicians. This 5-year initiative (2014-2019) is supported by RGSTC, Mumbai and DST, Delhi. Applications are invited from Indian nationals residing or having their own accommodation in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur for the following positions.

BTech/ BE (CS/IT) in First Class plus at least 2
years experience in software product development
related to graphics/ mobile/ cloud applications

| Job Profile | Developing medical software programs; testing and documentation; website design and maintenance; interfacing with electronics / hardware. |

Project Research Assistant (6 Posts )
Consolidated salary Rs.30000 - 42000/- p.m. |
| Qualification |
BTech/BE (with project work related to medical) / MBBS / BPT in First Class, plus at least one year experience related to
medical or engineering product development.
Age: below 30 years. |
| Job Profile | Developing innovative medical device(s) in collaboration with clinicians, faculty and other experts; work involves visits to hospitals and industry, CAD/CAM, device testing, documentation and other related tasks. |

Project Technical Assistant - Manufacturing (2 Posts )
Consolidated salary Rs.18000 - 26000/- p.m. |
| Qualification |
Diploma (3years)in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Production in First Class, with certified skills in use of CAD/CAM
software, plus project experience in product development and manufacture.
Age: below 30 years. |
| Job Profile | Operating and maintaining lab equipment for prototyping, manufacturing and testing; interfacing with other labs or industry for specific jobs. |
The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project . The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
