RECRUITMENT OF HAVILDAR EDUCATION IN THE
1. Applications are invited from eligible male candidates for recruitment as Havildar Education in Science and Arts in the Army Educational Corps of Indian Army. Total Number of vacancies are 635 as per the following details :-

2. Age Limit.
(a) Civilian Candidates. 20 to 25 years as on 01 Oct 2016 (i.e Candidates born between 01 Oct 1991 and 30 Sep 1996).
(b) Serving Combatants on Remusteration. 20 to 28 years as on 01 Oct 2016 (i.e Candidates born between 01 Oct 1988 and 30 Sep 1996).
3. Educational Qualification. The candidate must have working knowledge of both English and Hindi. Should have graduated from a recognised university in any of the following subjects at PG/graduation level.
(a) Science Stream. M.Sc/ B.Sc/MCA/ BCA/ M.Tech/ B.Tech/ B.Sc(IT) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botony, Zoology, Biology, Electronics and Computer Science.
(b) Arts Stream. MA/BA with English Literature, Hindi Literature, Urdu Literature, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Mathematics and Sociology.
4. Physical Standards. Minimum physical standards will be as under:-

MODE OF RECRUITMENT
5. Screening. Screening of candidates will be carried out as per programme issued by Recruiting Offices. Details may be obtained from respective ZROs/IRO(as at Para 18 below) and website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
6. Physical Fitness Test. Physical fitness test will be as follows :-
- (a) 1.6 Km in maximum 6 minutes and 20 seconds.
- (b) Pull ups (Beam) - Minimum 6 pull ups.
- (c) Zig Zag balance - Must pass.
- (d) 9 feet ditch - Must Pass
7. Medical Standards. A candidate should have robust physique and mental health. Chest should be well developed with minimum 5 cm expansion. Should have normal hearing in each ear. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gums and teeth, i.e 14 dental points. Should have no diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles. Remustering candidates should be in medical category SHAPE-1 in terms of Special Army Order 6/S/2005/ Rtg dated 05 Aug 2005 as amended from time to time.
8. Written Examination. Only those candidates selected in the screening and declared medically fit will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted at HQ Recruiting Zones / IRO Delhi Cantt on 31 Jul 2016 as per details below:-
(a) The written examination will consist of one composite paper of 2 hours duration, composed of two parts. Candidates will have to pass in both the parts seperately. Science candidates will attempt Part-I and Part-II (Science), while Arts candidates will attempt Part I and Part-II (Arts). Candidates must mention the stream opted for in the appliation.
(b) Qualifying in the Written Examination. Candidates will be required to score a minimum of 40% i.e 20 marks each in Part I and Part II separately to be declared pass depending on the stream chosen.
(c) Part-I (Compulsory for all Candidates). It will consist of 50 questions on General Knowledge and General English. (Max marks are 50 and pass marks are 20).
(d) Part-II (Science Stream). Compulsory for Science Stream candidates. This part will comprise of Questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. Candidates will be required to attempt all questions. (Max marks for Part-II (Science) are 50 and pass marks are 20).
(e) Part-II (Arts Stream). Compulsory for Arts candidates. This part will comprise of questions from Mathematics, History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. Candidates will be required to attempt all questions. (Max marks for Part-II (Arts) are 50 and Pass marks are 20).
(f) All answers will be marked on OMR answer sheet.
9. Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview. Candidates declared successful in the above written examination and placed in the merit list will appear for Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview to be conducted at AEC Training College & Centre, Pachmarhi (MP). Candidates qualifying in the Written Test, Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview and placed in the merit list will be enrolled in the Army Educational Corps.
10. Conveyance. The candidates will be issued with free railway warrants for their journey from recruiting offices (where they took the written examination) to Pipariya (MP). The candidates not found suitable for recruitment will be issued with a return journey warrant to their home station or recruiting office whichever is nearer, by Commandant AEC Training College & Centre, Pachmarhi (MP).
11. Messing & Accommodation. The candidates will be provided with free messing and accommodation during their short stay at Pachmarhi for the Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview. 12. Travelling Allowance / Daily Allowance. No travelling allowance / daily allowance will be given.
13. Training. Selected candidates will undergo Military and Technical Training for approximately one year at AEC Training College & Centre, Pachmarhi (MP).
14. Pay & Allowances.
(a) Group ‘X’. (PG/Bachelor Degree with B.Ed) on completion of successful training you will be placed in the Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) as per 6th Pay Commission. You will also be entitled to Grade Pay (Rs 2800) + Military Service Pay (Rs 2000) + Group ‘X’ Pay (Rs 1400) per month.
(b) Group ‘Y’. (Bachelor degree without B.Ed) on completion of successful training you will be placed in the Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) as per 6th Pay Commission. You will also be entitled to Grade Pay (Rs 2800) + Military Service Pay (Rs 2000) per month.
15. In addition to the above, pension, promotion prospects, Group Insurance, Army Welfare Housing Scheme, 60 days Annual leave and 30 days Casual Leave, free medical treatment for self, family and dependants, entitled ration and other allowances as admissible to the regular Army.
16. Terms of Enrolment. Individual will be enrolled for a period of 24 years with colour service and 2 years in reserve or till they attain 49 years of age whichever is earlier.
17. Submission of Application. Applications will only be accepted online on website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in (Detailed instructions are given below in ‘INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE APPLICATION’].
NOTE :-
(a) All the above terms and conditions, vacancies and selection procedures are subject to change from time to time.
(b) List of recognised universities to be verified from nearest HQ Recruiting Zone / Army Recruiting Office/ Independent Recruiting Office, Delhi Cantt.
(c) Only male candidates are eligible to apply.
(d) Candidates who are serving with any organization and are selected for the interview will produce “No Objection Certificate” from their employer at Zonal Recruiting Office before dispatch.
(e) Touts and agents have no role to play and candidates are advised not to be lured by such agents/agencies.
(f) The candidates are required to produce the following documents, when called for screening :-
- (i) Character certificate by Sarpanch of the Village or authorized signatory of the State Government.
- (ii) Domicile/Resident/Nativity certificate from the authorized signatory of the state Government.
- (iii) Original Certificate from matriculation onward and detailed Marks sheet of each year separately pertaining to Educational qualification.
- (iv) NCC Certificate in original, if applicable.
- (v) Son of serviceman/Ex-servicemen, son of war widow/son of widow, certificate in original, if applicable.
(g) Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e, from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection. Tribes with tattoo marks on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE APPLICATION : HAVILDAR (EDUCATION)
HOW TO APPLY ONLINE
1. Recruitment of Havildar (Education) will be through the online registration and online applications on our website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

2. Candidates can click on “Check Eligibility” on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and can apply online for chosen / eligible career option in the Indian Army. For online application candidates should carry the following:-
- (a) Education qualification certificates including matriculation certificate.
- (b) Personal details, including permanent address with PIN Number.
- (c) Verification / domicile certificate.
- (d) Have a personal valid e-mail.
- (e) Have a personal mobile number.
3. Online registration and application will remain open from 16 Apr 2016 at 1000 hrs to 15 May 2016 at 1700 hrs. Rally schedules (Preliminary screening) will be notified on the website.
4. Procedure for Applying Online. For registering online, visit the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and proceed as follow:-
- (a) Click on the portion ‘Apply Online’ on the home page in JCO/ OR enrolment row (green coloured).
- (b) Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up field have been provided as you highlight each field.
- (c) After filling the details, your profile will open.
- (d) Click on ‘Apply Online’. As per your eligibility, the options with caption Apply Online will appear. Click on the button to apply and details filled in during registration will come as prefilled. Fill the balance details on each tab like contact details and education details etc.
- (e) After filling the form, click on ‘Preview’ and check if all the information entered by you is correct as you will not be able to make any correction after saving.
- (f) On submitting you will receive a Roll Number.
- (g) Candidates can log in by using the e-mail id and password and can take the print out of the application form.
- (h) Once the registration closes on the last day, system will generate Admit Cards for eligible candidates.
- (j) Applicants are advised to check the profile on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and their email inbox for their Admit Card and alerts.
- (k) The candidates are required to print one copy of Admit Card and affix their recent passport size photograph on it.
NOTE :-
- (i) Online registration does not imply that the candidate has fulfilled all the criteria for recruitment.
- (ii) Your registration is subject to subsequent scrutiny and can be rejected, if found INELIGIBLE/INVALID at any point of time.
- (iii) Please print Admit Card on good quality paper in black and white mode with min 600 x 600 dpi or higher resolution.
- (iv) Admit Card is compulsory document to be carried for rally on scheduled date alongwith following documents in original as well as photocopies:-
(aa) Character certificate by Sarpanch of the Village or authorized signatory of the State Government.
(ab) Domicile/Resident/Nativity certificate from the authorized signatory of the state Government.
(ac) Certificates from matriculation onward and detailed Marks sheet of each year separately pertaining to Educational qualification.
(ad) NCC Certificate, if applicable.
(ae) Relationship certificate issued by concerned Record Officer for Son of serviceman/Ex-servicemen, son of war widow, if applicable.
5. Candidates must submit only one application. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature
