1. ADMISSION NOTICE 2015-17

Admission in three year Diploma Course in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Engineering (CE) will be carried out on the basis of marks obtained in Science and Mathematics in class 10th of 10+2 pattern (Grading system as adopted by CBSE) or equivalent examination. If two or more candidates have obtained same percentage (Science & Maths) then the preference will be given to the candidate having better total aggregate percentage.

2. DIPLOMA COURSES / BRANCHES

Following Diploma Courses are conducted at BSF Polytechnic, STS, Tigri, New Delhi - 110080. 
  • i) Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering - 60 Seats
  • ii) Diploma in Computer Engineering - 60 Seats
  • iii) Details of Seats/ Quota allotted course wise is as under :-

3. RESERVATION OF SEATS ;
  • i) 15% and 7% seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates respectively in all diploma courses.
  • ii) One seat is reserved for the ward of BSF widow in each course.

4- ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING 

a) Candidate should be ward of serving/retired/deceased BSF personnel and ward. of Education fund employees or ward of CAPFs, Delhi Police, Defence (stats restricted to their quota).

b) Candidate should have passed 10th class of 10+2 pattern or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 41% or equivalent grade (C2) in Science and Maths but not less than 33% or equivaient grade in each subject i.e. Science & Maths in one Sitting.

c) If a candidate who is XII (12th) passed or equivalent and doesn’t full fill min. marks eligibility criteria based on X (10th) class, he may be considered for admission on the basis of mark obtained by him in XII (12th) class provided he has secured min. 41% or C2 grade in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) in 12th Class.

d) Candidate should be below 21 years as on 01st Aug’2016. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST/PH candidates and 2 years for women candidates for 10th based courses. Maximum age relaxation given to any candidate will, however, not exceed five years. No age relaxation is admissible to the candidates other than those specified above.

e) Candidates belonging to SC and ST category who have obtained minimum pass percentage in Science and Maths can apply for admission in Diploma Courses.

5- CRITERIA AND MERIT LISTS 

a) Admission to both the courses will be purely on merit basis of the marks obtained in Class 10th of 10+2. Grading system or equivalent examination.

b) If seats in SC/ST quota remain vacant due to non availability of candidates in particular category, then it may be interchanged from SC to ST and vice-versa and then by wards of widows if seats still remain vacant.

c) If the sufficient numbers of eligible applications from different reserve category are not received then these seats would be filled up from the General candidates.

6. CERTIFICATES / DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF COUNSELING 

Candidates selected for admission shall have to produce following testimonial in original at the time of counseling.

a) Mark sheets of Class 10th and 12th as the case may be, along with provisional certificate of having passed the concerned class issued by the school concerned.

b) They should bring their transfer certificate from their respective school/college last studied. (Provisional certificates/Migration certificates will not be accepted).

c) Certificate of health issued by Medical Officer or Registered Medical Practitioner stating that candidate is not suffering from any chronic disease.

d) Character and antecedent certificate issued by the school/college last attended.

e) Affidavit from parents of all the students regarding Anti-Ragging.

f) Affidavit from students staying in hostel regarding Anti-Ragging.

g) Affidavit from parents of students staying in hostel regarding Anti-Ragging. obtained 

NOTE: - The candidature of a candidate will not be considered, if he fails to produce all original documents at the time of counseling.

7. HOSTEL FACILITIES

Hostel Facilities will be provided only to eligible male candidates except those candidates whose parents or guardians have been provided with married accommodation or granted out-living permission in Delhi subject to the availability of accommodation. The wards of such parent/guardian will be admitted in the Institution as Day Scholars. Messing charges of the students of Diploma Courses will be borne by the parents, irrespective of their rank except for the wards of widows. 

Note : - No hostel facility is available for girls. Girl student have to make their own arrangements for accommodation.

8. FEE AND OTHER CHARGES

a) Fee and other charges of the Diploma Courses per Annum will be as follows:-

Tuition Fee :- will be charged from Widow Wards who are getting admission in Diploma course after passing 10th Class at the rate of 50% in comparison of tuition fee of serving personnel for initial two years and for 3rd year tuition fee will be fully exempted. Also tuition fee only will be fully exempted for widow wards those who are getting admission in Diploma course after completion of 12th Class.

Sports :- fee is exempted to Widow wards of Ors/Group- D employee.

d) The collection of fees from the students will be on semester basis (i.e. 6 Months) in July and January of every calendar year.

e) Rs. 2,000/- (Refundable) as Security Money from all the fresh students (Hostlers & Day Scholars) and Rs. 2,000/- (Refundable) as Mess Security advance from the hostlers will be charged at the time of admission.

f) Incase withdrawal of students after admission or in the mid-session from institute fee for one semester (six months) will be charged.

g) In addition to above, training & Placement fees will be as under
  • i) IInd year - Rs. 500/- per semester
  • ii) IIIrd year - Rs. 1000/- per semester.
UNIFORM :-

Following prescribed uniform will be required for the Boys and Girls student of Diploma Courses at BSF Polytechnic, Tigri, New Delhi.

FOR GIRLS :-

Light blue kameez, white salwar, white dupatta and black shoes, blue blazer or sweater in winter, Steel gray apron for labs.

FOR BOYS :-

Light blue shirt, navy blue trouser, navy blue tie and black shoes, blue blazer or sweater in winter, Steel grey apron for Lab.

9. Applications for admission to above Diploma Course in the prescribed Performa mentioned in Appendix - “A" duly countersigned by the Commandant/Head of the Establishment should reach to the Chairman BSF Polytechnic, Signal Training School, Tigri, New Delhi -110080 latest by 18th June  along with all necessary documents. A sum of Rs. 200/- should be deposited directly as fee of application form in favour of DIPLOMA FUND, BSF, Account No. 10207278683, State Bank of India, Ambedkar Nagar Sect-I, New Delhi-110080 and receipt of the payment must be attached with application form otherwise the form will not be considered if the payment slip/receipt not found with application form.
