Mumbai University has announced the BMS, BAF results at the official website for the candidates who had appeared for the exam.

The results for third-year Bachelor in Management Studies (TYBMS) as well as Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BAF) semester V were finally declared after a delay of almost four months. University of Mumbai will soon conduct semester VI exams in less than two weeks while students are worried about having no time to apply for re-evaluation. Aspirants are required to note that TYBMS exams had got over in November 2016. The results were declared in mid-March 2017 after 4 months.

However, the candidates will have no time to apply for re-evaluation because the ATKT exams will begin in the first week of April. Aspirants are required to note that a University of Mumbai student interested in applying for re-evaluation first needs to apply for a photocopy of their answer sheet. The student has to get the photocopy assessed by a college professor and then apply for re-evaluation, which can take anywhere between three to six weeks. According to RTI report, almost 30% students were wrongly failed by the university between 2014 and 2016.

Earlier it was revealed that out of 2.19 lakh students who had applied for re-evaluation of their papers to the University of Mumbai between 2014 and April 2016, nearly 73,000, or 30%, had passed the exam for which they were marked ‘failed’. As per RTI filed by activist Vihar Durve revealed that many students had complained about this problem of delay in re-evaluations, leaving them with an extra burden of appearing for allowed-to-keep-term (ATKT) exams, only to find out later that they had passed the exam. The University of Mumbai (known earlier as University of Bombay) is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. Mumbai University was established in 1857 consequent upon “Wood’s Education Dispatch”, and is one amongst the first three Universities in India.
