Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details of schemes implemented by the Government for providing employment and employment oriented education system such as vocational education to unemployed youth including skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled persons in the country;
(b) the number and details of centres where the said schemes are being run along with the details of fund sanctioned and utilised during each of the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise;
(c) the number of unemployed youth benefitted through the said schemes during each of the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise and
(d) whether the Government has received any complaint from the State Governments in this regard and if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise?

(a) to (d): Government has taken various steps for generating employment in the country like encouraging private sector of economy, fast tracking various projects involving substantial investment and increasing public expenditure on schemes like Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) run by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA), Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) scheme run by Ministry of Rural Development and National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) run by Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation. The physical and financial progress of these schemes are given at Annex-I-VI.
According to National Skill Development Agency (NSDA), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, number of persons skilled across various sectors in the last few years are as follows:

According to the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015 by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, a skill gap study has been conducted by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) projecting an additional requirement of 109.73 million skill manpower by 2022 in 24 key sectors.
New schemes have also been launched which includes Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Swatchh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and Seekho aur Kamao scheme was launched for the skill development of minority communities.
For skilling to provide employment, a new Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has been established to coordinate the skill activities across Ministries.
According to the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, professional training in 126 trades are imparted through 13,105 Industrial Training Institutes ( ITIs) in Government and Private sector, having a total seating capacity of 17.11 lakhs.
Government has implemented the National Career Service having a portal (www.ncs.gov.in) for online registration and posting of jobs for job-seekers and provide other employment related services.
